Complying with Trade Sanctions in the Maritime Sector

Managing Partner K Murali Pany and Partner Nicola Loh were trainers for a course organised by Informa Connect Singapore on Trade Sanctions Compliance in the Maritime sector.

During the interactive 4-day webinar course that took place from 27th – 30th October 2020, the trainers shared on, amongst other topics, a current overview of trade controls and sanctions, red flags, risk indicators, consequences of breaching international sanctions, particular considerations that the shipping industry should be aware of and risk management best practices.

Brief History

As part of the Joseph Tan Jude Benny LLP network, JTJBT was established in 2005 by Dato’ Jude Benny, and Danny Chua. In its early years, JTJBT was well-known for commercial litigation with a particular focus on maritime-related disputes.
