The recent SingHealth cyber-attacks have shown that Singapore is not immune from cyber-crime and that any company in Singapore faces the veryreal risk of a cyber-attack.

On the 23rd of November, Managing Partner Murali Pany and Unydyne Systems, Director, Hansel Lobo hosted a Cyber security seminar at JTJB office. The speakers explored the types of cyber risk and potential legal liability to third parties that may compound the misery of victims of cyber-crime and electronic fraud, as well as how to manage the risk.

In our concluding Breakfast Seminar series for 2018, held on 11 December 2018, JTJB Deputy Managing Partner, John Sze, and Executive Director of SCMA, Dennis Chan hosted a discussion on “The Power of “Choice” in dispute resolution: Harnessing options to your advantage”.

The speakers highlighted the importance to be very clear in dispute resolution agreements and getting choice right, especially in agreements for private dispute resolution.

11th Ikhtisas Kelautan Malaysia – Singapore Nautical Institute Joint Forumaaaa

JTJB Managing Partner, K Murali Pany, had the privilege of being a speaker at the 11th Ikhtisas Kelautan Malaysia – Singapore Nautical Institute Joint Forum held in Melaka on 12 November 2018.

Murali spoke about the liability gap that exists in LNG bunkering due to the absence any international guidelines. He highlighted the consequent uncertainties in relation to parties’ obligations and liabilities, and suggested measures to manage risk.
