We are delighted to announce the appointment of John Sze as Equity Partner and Deputy Managing Partner with effect from 1 January 2015.
John started his legal career with JTJB as a pupil in 2003. He has moved up the ranks in the firm and presently acts as the lead counsel in numerous Court litigation and local/international arbitrations. John’s primary focus is in the field of commercial litigation, with a particular specialization in maritime litigation. |
In 2007, John obtained an MPA scholarship and also took a year’s sabbatical to pursue a Master’s degree in Maritime Law at the renowned University of Southampton, where he graduated with a 1st class degree. Apart from his busy legal work, John has been instrumental in the setting up of JTJB’s Bangkok office as the resident lawyer in 2006, and presently manages the trainee recruitment and development programme at the firm.
“The appointment of John Sze as the new Deputy Managing Partner, together with Murali Pany’s role as the Managing Partner, marks an important transition in the management of JTJB, going forward”, says Dato’ Jude Benny, the Founding and Senior Partner of the firm. “The Senior Partners are still very much involved in the practice, but the new leadership blood will pave the way for new ideas and innovation. John is a “true blue” JTJB product, having come to us straight from University. He has attained his current status in the firm through his hard work and abilities as a lawyer.”
The firm is confident that with this appointment, JTJB has the next generation leadership in place to build on its existing strengths and develop in the new directions that will ensure the firm’s future sustainability and growth.
