NEW LAWYERS

JTJB continues to grow and welcomes our newest additions to the Team.

Florence Goh

JTJB’s Corporate Department has been boosted by the addition of Florence who has joined us as a Partner in June 2013.

Florence graduated with LLB (Honours) from National University of Singapore in 1989 and was admitted as Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1990.

She has both corporate and conveyancing portfolios. Her corporate/commercial experience includes drafting, reviewing negotiation of and advising on general corporate agreements, joint venture agreements, collaboration agreements, and other commercial contracts such as corporate loan agreements and leasing agreements.

Her conveyancing portfolio extends to acquisition of private residential, commercial, industrial, JTC properties/land parcels, and HDB shophouses, handling CPF work, acting for corporate lenders and borrowers in financing arrangements, mortgages, charges, debentures, subordination agreement and other security documentation. She has also handled private residential /commercial housing project development work.

Mary-Anne Chua

Mary Anne first joined the Firm as a Practice Trainee in December 2012.  She was called to the Singapore Bar in July 2013 and is now an Associate. Her areas of practice are Shipping & Admiralty and Commercial Dispute Resolution.

Branda Lai

Branda first joined the Firm as an intern in August 2010 and has since completed her Relevant Legal Training and Practice Training with us.  Pending her admission to the Singapore Bar, she is now a Conveyancing Associate.

Dato Jude Benny Awarded Public Service Medal

Our Senior Partner, Dato Jude P Benny was awarded the Public Service Medal, carrying the title PBM, by the President of Singapore, in the 2013 National Day Awards List.

Mr. Michael Chia, the Chairman of the Singapore Maritime Foundation, in a congratulatory note described the Award as a “well deserved recognition of your services to our nation”.

Dato Benny served as a board member of the Singapore Maritime Foundation for 6 years, and currently serves on the board of the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore.
