The Lions descended on Greece – and it was a roaring success.

Posidonia 2004, the biggest and most well-attended maritime exhibition in the world, was held this year from the 7th of June to the 11th of June.  JTJB were proud to participate as a pioneer member of the Singapore Pavilion; the first time that Singapore had ever set up a National Pavilion at the exhibition.

Led by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, the Chief Executive Rear-Admiral Lui Tuck Yew, the Singapore Pavilion drew thousands of visitors.  Along with JTJB, other Singapore exhibitors included, inter alia, reputable local shipyards such as Keppel Shipyard and Jurong Shipyard, and other well-established marine related companies such as Global Energy (Asia) Pte Ltd and Singapore Technologies Marine Ltd.

Dr Balaji Sadasivan, Minister of State of Health and Transport was also in attendance, to lend his support to Team Singapore and to lead visits to important ministries and leading shipping companies in Greece.

The JTJB Team comprised Dato’ Jude P. Benny, Mr Danny Chua, Ms Tan Hui Tsing and Mr Kenneth Ho.  The fact that this was the largest overseas marketing effort by the firm, demonstrates the level of dedication that the firm has maintained with regard to the Greek Shipping Community.

Senior Partner Dato’ Jude P. Benny said, “Participation in this event was very important for us because it reinforced our commitment to the market.  Our office here has done well, and we are now a household name in the Shipping Community”.

Added Mr Danny Chua, “It was great to see so many old friends”.

As the biggest and most prestigious maritime exhibition in the world drew to a close, it would have been extremely difficult to find anyone who did not agree that the Lions had stamped yet another pawprint on the road to international success.
