In a business environment where companies frequently conduct cross-border deals and engage third parties to handle different aspects of the business, companies cannot afford not to have a strong and effective compliance program in place. Changes in the regulations coupled with heightened enforcement by regulators worldwide mean that companies need to properly manage legal and regulatory risk in order to avoid reputational damage to the company.
JTJB’s Regulatory & Compliance Practice provides compliance advice, solutions for managing risk and training in areas such as corporate governance, regulatory obligations, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance.
Leveraging on our global network, we provide advisory services for cross-border regulatory matters and support in cases where there are investigations by regulators and government authorities.
The Practice will be headed by our Partner, Nicola Loh. Nicola’s extensive background in dispute resolution has enabled her to provide compliance advice and handle both the advisory and contentious aspects of regulatory matters. Nicola is also an Associate Member of the International Compliance Association (AICA), a certified individual of the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore (IBF), a member of the Law Society’s Anti-Money Laundering Committee as well as an Ordinary Member of the Singapore Institute of Directors.
The Practice is also able to offer corporate secretarial services through JTJB’s associated company, MP Corporate Secretarial Services Pte. Ltd.
