JTJB Continues to be Ranked in Asialaw Profiles 2020
JTJB Singapore’s Managing Partner K Murali Pany, Deputy Managing Partner John Sze and JTJB Thailand’s Managing Director Naiyachon Tathong have each been individually ranked as Distinguished Practitioners.

JTJB Yacht Party
This unique Caribbean-themed event was held on the 20th of September to convey our gratitude to friends and clients for their support and trust over the years.
We set sail from Sentosa Cove and it is fair to say that a great time was had by all – with good food, wine, live music by the Havana Social Club and even dancing!
As it was the F1 weekend, our guests were also able to have a special view of the fireworks during the cruise.
This is set to be an annual ‘thank-you’ event so if you were not there with us this year, fret not – look out for your invitation in 2020!

Asian Sulphur Cap 2020 Conference
Managing Partner K Murali Pany was a dual Panellist at the Asian Sulphur Cap 2020 Conference. On Day 1 of the conference, he was amongst a group of industry leaders in the opening panel speaking on the topic of “Current and Future Regulatory Challenges”. He was also on the closing panel on Day 2 addressing the topic “Meeting the Maritime Emissions Challenge”. Murali has spoken at a number of events in Singapore and overseas about the legal and commercial challenges of the upcoming Sulphur Cap.
Seminar on the PSA and the PDPA
On the 3rd of October 2019, JTJB Senior Associate Erin Ang and Associate Kay Yong held a seminar on the Payment Services and the Personal Data Protection Acts.
Erin spoke about the regulatory scope of the new Payment Services Act and gave practical examples of how different aspects of a business could be caught under the Act. Kay spoke about the latest updates in the Personal Data Protection Act, in particular – the new NRIC guidelines as well as the mandatory data breach notification.
The attendees were from up-and-coming tech start-ups and mature corporations that engage in digital technology or digital services as part of their businesses.
